Behind the scene of Fashion Week A/W 2011

London Fashion Week!

Boogie and the history maker
Free spirited and strangely wonderful, the latest collection from Sass and Bide saw tribal prints, hand painted wraps, sequin dipped pieces and an explosion of colour and textures. Kakuyasu Uchiide, shu uemura’s international artistic director and shu uemura UK team created the look for the show.

“For the look of the show, my inspiration came from the talented designers Sarah-Jane Clark and Heidi Middleton. I can always distinguish three distinct tastes from Sass & Bide collections —rock, romantic and tribal. This season, the tribal flavor seems stronger than the others. But I didn’t want to create typical tribal-type pattern using multi colors on the face. From an “in-trend” point of view, I believe that this kind of fashion best matches simple and chic make-up that gives a healthy glow. The vision of the designers  perfectly matched my idea. I went for healthy and dewy skin created with stage performer instant glow and nobara stick foundation, and a bold mascara look with ultimate expression mascara, while two items I picked up from the upcoming mode make-up collection: shimmer eyeliner and cream cheek, provided a fresh look around the eyes and a completely natural and healthy complexion that looked liked it came from within. This tamed look is perfect to offset the wild tribal fashion so in vogue.”
